Hi, I'm Denis Majorský.
Over the years I've worn several hats — from ICT administrator, where I managed and monitored SAP applications and databases, to DevOps engineer designing solutions and automating processes across dozens of projects.
I started in 2nd and 3rd-level support, incident management and maintenance, and gradually worked my way up to automation via scripting, managing CI/CD pipelines and scaling infrastructure in an agile environment — across different clouds and operating systems. That breadth gave me a strong technical foundation and the ability to get my bearings quickly in unfamiliar territory.
I like taking the initiative, getting to the root of things and carrying them from design to running in production — whether it's configuration automation, CI/CD, observability or deploying services in the cloud. I'm equally at home with the technical detail and with coordinating people and stakeholders.

- Deployed 2× RKE2 Kubernetes clusters on-prem with KubeVIP (ARP) and Cilium CNI (L2 Announcements, LB IPAM).
- ArgoCD GitOps platform (app-of-apps) managing 10+ system applications per cluster — multi-source Helm, sync waves, ServerSideApply.
- Self-hosted GitLab on Hetzner Cloud, fully provisioned via Terraform.
- Centralized observability (Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, Loki, Alloy) with remote-write to a central Thanos receiver.
- Vault + ExternalSecrets, cert-manager and trust-manager for automated TLS and CA chain distribution.
- Self-service monitoring across 20+ site clusters via Rancher Fleet — a team adds a label and monitoring starts automatically.

- Reworked the Terraform framework for Azure — reusable modules and standardization across dev/test/UAT/prod.
- Operated a private AKS cluster (7–8 nodes), tuned Artemis ActiveMQ and Redis with HA and optimized persistence.
- GitOps automation with Flux across multiple environments, aligned with release management.
- Designed the monitoring architecture for Dynatrace — dashboards and alerting for proactive anomaly detection.
- Defined and documented Backup/Recovery and DR strategies for databases and critical infrastructure.
- Mentored the operations team through workshops and documentation.

- Automated rollouts via Ansible to 300+ local PCs running MicroK8s — reusable roles.
- CI/CD in Azure DevOps — build, test and deploy of Docker images for .NET applications.
